HOW TO MAKE 5 GALLONS OF KITCHEN EXHAUST DEGREASER
Here is a step-by-step guide to creating a kitchen exhaust cleaning degreaser formula, adjusted to a 10:1 dilution ratio which comes out to about 1/2 gallon in a 5 gallon mix.
Brenntag has an office in almost every state. If you buy your caustics locally you will save a boat load on shipping. If you can't find a local supplier contact us to see if we can help.
Remember these are approximate amounts and you can add more or less of each based on your needs. This mixture should cost you about $5 total for 5 gallons depending on the costs of the raw materials. (2025 update: raw material costs have greatly increased since this initial post, you are looking at up to $2/gallon for this mix)
For the dry chemicals, an 8oz cup is about a pound.
