Tools For Hood Cleaners

Tools For Hood Cleaners

There are many different tools that are needed for cleaning a kitchen exhaust system properly, and many different ways to get the job done.

The most common tool in a hood cleaners bag is the scraper. These can be purchased at any hardware store and come in may different sizes. The smaller, stiffer scrapers are best for tough grease like Chinese or charbroiler. The wider scrapers like The WMD are best for soft grease like burger and fry grease.

Razor scrapers are good for cleaning moderate grease buildup and are convenient due to the fact that you can change the blades when they get dull. For really tough hard grease you will need a scraper with a hard carbon steel blade like the Black Mamba

If you have ever cleaned a McDonald's you understand how important a round duct scraper can be. You arend going to get a jacked up McDonalds duct clean with just a duct spinner. You need to scrape it our first and get that heavy buildup off.

Getting the filter tracks clean and up behind them where most hood cleaners miss is an important part of any kitchen exhaust cleaning job. The tool we use for cleaning these areas is the 1.25" Scraper. It fits in there perfectly to get those areas clean.
